  • The beach will make you feel like the season is 11, so naturally swim swimming once I was. So must pass through the tunnels beaches phoned to us tourists a little confusing. Crowded with locals to walk the dog or jogging in the evening.

  • Fun in the sun. Chicago is unique that it's a big city near the beach. Walk along lake front trail and you'll find plenty to do. Oak Street Beach is nice because there's a spot to grab drinks and hang...  more »
  • I was staying at the Drake and took a quick walk over to the beach. It was beautiful as always but I was so sad to see it so littered with trash and debris. The views are spectacular and it was packed...  more »

  • This is our favorite beach. The proximity is excellent and you don't have to worry about a bunch of frat/sorority kids coming here. More of a relaxing beach that primarily only has city folk, no tourists or burbanites.
  • Ideal place to relax. Take a friend and sit by the water. Walk out north to the tip and see one of the best views of the city.
  • End of the Summer: Don't go. Staff was not engaged. Smell coming from bathrooms was awful. Mysterious leak coming through the southern end. Sit on the northern end if you must. Greenline was $12, which is ridiculous. Nachos sucked. Two stars for being outside on the beach.
  • It's very crowded here. Not really good for a relaxing beach trip, but good to go with a group of friends for social fun. You are bound to find another group to hang out with. Bring a football/ volleyball/ frisbee for a greater time. This beach does have large bathrooms
  • Nice place for sunbathing. Had fun riding the rental bikes on the paths to Navy Pier and Grant Park. There were a few detours and lots of foot traffic, but the views were priceless!
