  • Chicago has a number of small museums that get overshadowed by the large, well known ones. This is so worth the trip to the Pilsen area. Beautiful museum, nicely organized, and easy to experience. We ...  more »
  • This was an unexpected gem of an art museum away from the frenzy of downtown. The layout is easy and it's not overwhelming. It's a great way to spend 2-3 hours and reel you've done it properly. There ...  more »

  • A very low-key, yet powerful museum. Always free admission, but it has the quality of museums that charge a much higher entrance fee. Absolutely must-see if you live in the city.
  • This is a beautiful, community space. It's also free (though I recommend a donation)! They highlight local artists all the time, which is always great to see. Highly recommend this Pilsen spot!
  • Small but free and full of high quality Mexican / Mexican-American art. A good survey of the genre.
  • At the beginning I wasn't comfortable with all these skulls and death exhibition. Those people love death and married mummies. But I found some interesting stuff from mixing old and new Mexican art. I loved some of the exhibitions which represent natural facts. It is also free for admission.
  • The museum is not very big, but worth the visit! Very interesting collection of latin american art, specifically modern art. In addition, there is huge mural wall anong the 16yh street, 2 blocks away from the museum.
