  • I love art museums but never went to a modern art museum before. And I can see why. It's just not my style. There are beautiful pieces and it was interesting to go see.
  • Wow I had such an amazing experience here. I went to see the Kerry James Marshall exhibit called MASTRY. It was challenging on a moral and ethical level. I found it to be quite thought-provoking and led me to do some personal reflection on my own understanding of race in America. It challenged me to become more aware of my unconscious biases. I am so grateful and happy that I went to see these amazing works of art. The museum itself is really well maintained and clean and easy to navigate. Also it's free for Illinois residents on Tuesdays. Also there's a wonderful farmers market right outside the front door on Tuesdays. The market closes at 2 p.m. I bought some delicious croissants and my sister got some beautiful vegetables. You could easily do breakfast and lunch here on Tuesdays. I recommend public transportation or ride sharing to get here. Parking is not easy or cheap.
  • If you want to see random, strange, and interesting art, you have come to the right place. It is a neat place with lots of art pieces. The really nice part is that they cycle all the art work consistently, so you can always come by every few months to check it out.
  • A good way to waste a day. Lots of though provoking pieces. Modern and Strange. this was the last museum I hadn't visited in Chicago and its a real doozy, Lots of rotating modern art exhibits and of course the Calders. I enjoyed my time also relaxing in the sculpture garden. There is a cafe, but I would recommend eating elsewhere as its prices are a bit absurd.
  • Great place to visit while in Chicago. Interesting art collections and exhibits. The entrance price is affordable. Also a great store with items for the artist who have relationships with the museum.
