  • While the rangers weren't super helpful with the first-come, first-served camping spots (which are all dry), I still ended up with a cozy spot on my own little knoll overlooking the lake. Apparently, ...  more »

  • We loved this park. We happened onto it by mistake and stayed two days . The landscape is beautiful and the people are friendly. There are lots of hikes (beautiful hidden falls) and fishing and boating (no motors). There are Also world class down hill mountain biking trails. There are playparks and a stocked store. The campsites are nice but not a lot of hookups. It would be nice to swim but it is a reservoir so we couldn't. The bathrooms and laundry etc.. were all new and beautiful. Would defienitly go back.
  • Loved this beautiful state park hidden by laramie. Not sure why this is not more famous than happy jack or Vedawoo but you could hit many trails here and enjoy the view of the lake as well. Also great for camping and water sports.
  • With us moving 3-4hours a day-drive-only-pace in our motorhome fr texas to the north dakota and back ( 1 month trip) we have seen lots of various National Forests and parks and camping places. Once you out of Colorado the vast valleys, moderate height hills are waiting for you with absolutely giantic RV parks, where you can have your own place size fr tiny ones to few acres, -all to yourself!!!!. Seriously. This park is well taken care of, a VERY long water line where you can choose anything to your likes. They offer electric sites but there are just few of those and crammed. We travel with 3 GShepherds, so big running/playing area further fr people is a must for us. For 17 $/out of state fee/, no electricity ir water, we got amazing spot with acres of land and hills and woods... we even had a chance to observe how a beever couple were building their house!!! It was just at the foot of the hill where we parked. We tried fishing but was no luck. Area so quiet and peaceful and it is a perfect spot to really "disappear" :-). We were hiking with pups, no people, no any building structures, -nothing. Just pure nature as is. We travel in june. It is cool and windy. At night quite chilly here.
  • Great staff at the visitors center! Beautiful park with awesome bouldering.
  • Curt Goedy is by far the best 30min getaway that Cheyenne, WY has to offer. Incredible mountain bike trails, horseback trails, hiking trails, fishing and camping. Its a great place to spend the day or the weekend! P.S. go see Hidden Falls!
