Learn about Bush's baked beans when you visit Bush's Visitor Center. Watch a short film on the Bush family history and the current methods of processing and canning the beans, then learn about the original canning process from 1908. You can walk through a giant replica can of beans as you learn about a bean's journey to become part of the product. Head into Duke's doghouse, or learn your weight in beans and get a photo with Duke. Stop by the restaurant for southern-style homemade dishes and bean desserts, and head to the old-fashioned general store for souvenirs. • We stopped here on our route from Pigeon Forge to Johnson City. The web site says it should be open from 10-4 from April to the end of October but it was closed. We walked around the 12,000 Sq Ft...  more »
  • This business is still closed. Not sure why since every other business and museum, gift shop, and restaurants are fully open. Was hoping to visit but maybe another time.  more »
  • If you are a fan of Bush's, please visit. Even if you just enjoy food history, make the trek. The folks there are friendly. There is a restaurant onsite also.  more »

  • I enjoyed every second of being here. It's fun, engaging, and everyone working was very kind. There's a lot of fun activities and things to do that don't cost anything. The beans are cheaper to buy than in stores. All the food we tried in the cafe was delicious. Outside the visitor center is absolutely beautiful, too, if you like scenery!
  • The employees were wonderful! Very interesting and inviting. We just happened upon this place on the way . We only had enough time to look quickly thru. It’s a wonderful piece of USA history of hospitality:) . They also have a store and restaurant. There was an informational game and if answer all questions-get something free at the end . I’m going back for the whole deal, guided tour on my next trip! Thank you so much Bush’s!!!
  • If you find yourself in the area this is a cool little piece of Americana to enjoy with the family. The center includes a museum with all kinds of cool bean facts and Bush memorabilia, activities for kids and a movie telling all about the company and its founder. They also have a nice gift shop with beans, other bean products such as bean chips! Similar to a nacho chip but made with beans. And make sure to grab some lunch in the restaurant and enjoy your free sample of the bean of the day. The other food was pretty good too. • AMAZING!! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was nice and the museum provided plenty of information. The museum was also very kid friendly. And free stuff was provided. The bathrooms were very well kept and updated. I would highly recommend coming here when passing through the area.
  • My family of 7 traveled to Eastern Tennessee, and this was one of our favorite stops. We watched the movie about how Bush's started, then we did the self guided tour and learned how much each of us weighed in beans! After the tour, the staff took our picture and gave it to us for free. Then we went into the general store, bought a lot of beans and some cool socks, tee shirts and other items. We spent about an hour and a half here, but we could have easily spent 3 hours here if we did not have other places we wanted to visit. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, this is a great experience for all ages.
