  • We've lived in Calvert for a year now, and have only tried a few beaches in the area so far. Although this wasn't my favorite beach, it did have it's perks. Pros: it's only 10 minutes from our house; ...  more »
  • On a very hot Friday afternoon, we drove to this beach on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay for an easy day trip from DC. The beach is a rough and yellowish grainy sand, except for the few feet ...  more »
  • The beach was fairly nice. You pay per person for entry. We went on a Sunday afternoon as some were leaving which opened up some of the shaded areas on the beach. They have a net to help prevent jelly...  more »

  • The campground is nice enough. We went late in the season so we weren't crowded at all. There are no grills at the campsites. There is a burn barrel at the site but the grills are beside picknic tables quite a distance from the sites. There are no lights inside the park at night except for very dim lights on the power station for each site. The bathrooms were awful! Old razors left on the floor. It hadn't been cleaned for a long time! We won't go back due to the bathrooms being so dirty.
  • Great campground. Lots of space and right behind the sand dunes on the beach! The owners and staff were all really helpful and very nice. Even let me borrow a board! Thanks guys! Hopefully we'll be able to make it back again.
  • Beautiful campsites and beautiful beach! We stayed at a campsite. You have a beach away from the public and a separate bath house. We brought our boat and kept it at Breezy Point Marina. When we were not catching crabs and fish we were combing the beach for shark teeth. We plan on making many more memories in the future at Breezy Point!!! After reading others reviews I would like to say that no one can control what is in the water or what type of music another patron chooses to play. The employees and other campers were all very nice!!!
  • Nice beach all in all with picnic benches in the shady areas. Bring your own food to grill because there is no store to buy anything. Lots of fossils on the beach with an opportunity to pick shark teeth. There is a netted safe area to swim without bumping into jelly fish.
  • It's an hour and so away from us. Not a bad choice for a day trip. It is very clean, no noisy radios or annoying people, which we love. The entrance fee on weekdays is reasonable. The playground is in good shape and there are not too many picnic tables and it's a very small beach, so come early to reserve your spot. I like it, it was fun and tranquil.
