  • This is well worth a visit when in the Cherokee area. Interesting and informative, we learned so much about the culture and history of the Cherokee people. A Must See.

  • I learned so much about the history of the Cherokee people that I hadn't know before. Their interaction with the British was news
  • 8/7/16. I really enjoyed this museum. So much to read and look at. It's very well laid out. If you love history you should come to here. Prices aren't bad at all Adults $11 kids 6-12 $7 and children 5 and under is Free. My 9 yr son really enjoyed the museum which i was shocked. It is kid friendly. They do keep the AC so if you tend to get chilly easily bring a light sweater. It felt so nice to me. Lol. If you are disabled and use a Mobility Scooter you would be able to ride through the museum pretty easy i would say until the end where it does get alittle narrow but still can be done. You can easily get through the museum with a walker also. Only says this because I have family memebers that are disabled.
  • North Carolina's history is rich with Native American culture, especially with that of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Tribe. The Great Smoky Mountains were home to the Cherokee for millennia. Thankfully, the Museum of the Cherokee Indian does a top-notch job of preserving their cultural and environmental influences. The museum includes exhibits of the clothes, tools and structures used by the tribe. Walking into the museum fills like you are stepping into the old world. This is definitely a place you should visit when you get the opportunity.
  • The museum is relatively comprehensive; it's good for adults, but you may need to rush through with small children. The exhibits are professionally done but there are a few minor clarity issues and some redundancy. I do however recommend visiting.
  • So informative and not boring. We really enjoyed learning about the Cherokee and the native indians. Definitely recommend this to everyone.
  • Beautiful building with friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our visit very much even with two toddlers along.
