  • Great museum. You actually get to see what life was like more than a century ago. The preservation is up to par. It is a good place for families as kids can run around too. It's also at the beginning (or end) of the river trail which is nice in itself.
  • I am a sucker for homesteading and self-reliance. We drove past this on our way to a cabin to the north and left early a few days later just to walk this place. SO GLAD WE DID! It is so amazing to see how independent and self-sustaining this homestead could have been. My children love the barn, cobb house, and pig pen. I loved the blacksmithing, apple orchard, and log cabin. Just beautiful!
  • Really impressive glimpse into the olden days. Love the chickens and hogs when they are out! And the structures themselves are impressive.
  • Beautiful, peaceful, educational, at your own pace. The rangers and staff are great, the country is so beautiful, even when the trees are bare. You walk along a beautiful creek, and meet elk in the park, and in downtown!
  • Great grouping of old building. And informative sign posting.
