  • I've been coming here as often as possible for about the past 5 years. Lake Chelan is hands down the best swimming in Washington. The park has an excellent swimming area, it's clean, cold, and deep! There is no such thing as a bad camping site here, although, the beach sites with dock access are the best! Small sites but amazing views and having the dock right there is excellent. The little shop sells everything you'll need, including ice cream, fried foods, firewood, ice, swimming gear, etc. I just love coming here!
  • Best park in Chelan super clean the water is so clear and free of garbage. Has camping and day use areas even a store connected to the bathroom building. A lot of people go but the park is so big there is plenty of room for it to not get crowded. They should have a bigger parking lot for the day use area it fills up quick and if they're is no parking you have to find parking outside of the park and walk in. It's best to show up early here. This park is my most favorite place in Washington state will definelty be returning.
  • Great place to relax right thru the day. A smallish are in the lake for kids to swim/play/paddle in the water. Paddle boats and other boats for hire. Camp area has lot of benches to serve as picnic areas. Be sure to arrive early to catch a spot in the shade in case you plan to be here all day. Restrooms close picnic area.
  • During the week it is less crowded than in the weekend. Small swim area, and most campsites don't have a view to lake. The campsite we were at, was not in a private area, but it was big. This place has a lot of campsites. There are restrooms near your campgrounds. Be prepared to walk though (place is big). Ranger was friendly, and courteus. There is a trail you can walk, bear trail. If you have Washington Discovery pass, you don't get charged for parking and enjoying the park.
  • The lake itself was beautiful! Clearest water I've ever seen! But the campsite wasn't the best. There were several hidden fees that we were hit with ($10 per vehicle) and other fees that were not stated..the price for the campsites varied for unknown reasons. We had 2 campsites, the same, but a $15 difference. The Rangers are very strict on only allowing 8 people per campsite so we had to get the 2nd site..the Rangers were nice though
