  • The park is located in a great location. There is a small water fountain/splash area as well as some trails and gorgeous view of the river. The old carousel is adorable but the building it is in can sometimes be very warm inside.
  • Public fountain splash area is perfect for kids. Carosel is gorgeous and affordable. Walker Pavilion is great for events. Parking is typically plentiful but likely not free. Great spot for picnics, egg hunts, events, kites and so much more! :)
  • I love how our city gets better and better. I love how it focus on family fun at Coolidge park. They have a great fountain for everyone to play in. It's a lot of places to enjoy with your family or a nice couples date. I enjoyed having my kids a picnic there.
  • This whole park area and bridge is excellent to visit. Tons of families out enjoying time together, water areas for kids, and the famous-historical Walnut St pedestrian bridge is very unique. You must walk across the connector of the the Parts of the city and experience the views and just wide variety of nice ppl you'll encounter! in a span of just half mile we saw a war vet playing the guitar and singing, a Young any playing Electric guitar, a college guy playing acoustic, and another guy beat-boxing. Just loved it all!
  • Charming park across the river from Chattanooga's aquarium. Good birding and an indoor carousel, what more could you ask for? Great for picnics and river watching, it's served by the north electric bus route and is easily accessed by the wonderful old pedestrian bridge.

Where to stay in Chattanooga

Centrally located Chattanooga hotels offer comfortable rooms just a walk from the city's best shops, restaurants, and museums. Staying in the middle of everything can cost a bundle, so if you're traveling on a budget or simply prefer a bed and breakfast atmosphere, consider staying farther away from the central part of townwhile on holiday. Most budget-friendly inns located along the free electric shuttle route servicing the downtown area offer all the comforts of home at the fraction of the price charged by the big chains.
