  • Took a stroll over Walnut Street Bridge and ended up at Coolidge Park. Fun in the summer when they turn on the water and fun when the carousel is open.
  • Hand carved wooden animals on a refurbished antique carousel are a must see and ride for anyone who visits Chattanooga. Free electric buses will take you across the river from many places in downtown....  more »

  • Love the person this park represents, Charles H. Coolidge is a precious friend of mine, he bravely fought in WW11, earning the purple heart. I've loved going since the park opened and have since taken my children and grandson so far. Love the view, the place, the people. It's a great place in Chattanooga, TN to visit with friends and family, or alone.
  • This park is a great place to park frisbee, kick a soccer ball, walk around, or just lay in the grass. It's always very clean and well maintained. The carousel here is a fun place to rake visitors. Sunsets here are very nice. Would recommend this place to anyone.
  • We were travelling through Chatanooga and took the free shuttle over to this side of town, then strolled through the park before taking the pedestrian bridge back to the other side of the river and into the art museum. Lovely park with places of quiet and chances to sit with others. The views of the river are great. The paths are winding and would be a great spot to take a jog. We got a shaved ice and shared it in the heat. This is how urban green spaces should work.
  • Awesome park! This place has great outdoor space for recreation, an old world carousel and water sprinklers for the kids (bring a bathing suit and towel), clean restrooms, convenient parking. A great place for inexpensive family fun.
  • Nice park with lots of open space. Right along the river so beautiful views. Good running trails. Lots of people active and doing various activities. Also, very clean bathrooms and water available for walkers/park-goers.
