  • There's a carousel, plenty of open areas, and tons of shops, restaurants, and attractions. Parking can be a little tricky at times because people park here for many local events and attractions.  more »

  • Coolidge Park is the energy center of Chattanooga. The beauty of the river, the bridges as well as this lovely open Park are amazing. Coolidge Park features a historic carousel along with lively events and a wonderful family atmosphere. This park is perfect for a stroll along the river, an absolutely beautiful walk across the historic walking bridge, watching a sunset or enjoying the city lights reflecting off the water in the evening. I highly recommend visiting Coolidge Park as well as visiting the wonderful Artisan and Eatery shops surrounding this area.
  • We love spending time at Coolidge Park. There is tons of green space to run, play ball, have a picnic, read... Whatever it is that you like to do. There are beautiful views of the bridges and of the river. You can see the aquarium and the Art District from the park. After playing we typically take the kids for a ride on the carousel then to lunch and shopping on the North Shore. They do have water fountains on during the summer for kids to cool off in, as well as public restrooms. No pets are allowed at Coolidge Park, but they are allowed at Renaissance Park.
  • This is one of the jewels Chattanooga is lucky to have. This is first place I think of going when the weather is nice and I’m wanting to go downtown. You can lay in the sun, play ball, go on the carousel, cross the bridge, or visit any of the awesome shops and restaurants that are close by. The views of the river and bluffs are what make me know I’m home.
  • Coolidge Park is Chattanooga 's proud jewel. Many people find friends in people they normally don't interact with. It brings the kid out of you and you are playing Ultimate Frisbee with a group of people. It's a beautiful and romantic picnic spot to bring your family.
  • Kids love it. It's the hugest wide open safe place for them to run and play. They can be loud or fall asleep while over looking the river. It's very peaceful and relaxing.
