  • This was ultimately a disappointing zoo to visit. It's very small and can easily be viewed entirely in just over an hour, maybe less. However, the price doesn't reflect the short experience. In some exhibits, the animals just didn't look happy. One coyote display had one of the wild dogs roaming around, panting so hard it was noticeably thirsty. Some highlights came from the various animals I don't recall really ever seeing in a zoo. The red pandas were very fun to watch, running about in their pen. The zoo is very accessible and simple to find for people visiting Chattanooga from out of town. The drastic downside just comes from the cost and extremely short experience. Most zoo visits take up quite a bit of a day. This one is short, but not overly sweet. Worth a visit if the price was cut to be better equal to the amount of time spent touring the zoo.
  • My wife and I took our kids( 4 and 3) to the zoo on a Friday and there wasn't a lot of people there which was nice but it was a week day after all. We all enjoyed the zoo a lot and it was very clean and well maintained. Saw lots of zoo keepers cleaning exhibits and putting out fresh water and treats for the animals. In all I'd say we had no disappointments except for the camel rides were closed due to an ant problem which is understandable. I'd say if the chatt zoo got a few big donations and could expand and bring in a few other big animals they would put the Knoxville zoo out of business. Plus parking was FREE
  • This is a great place to walk and experience some animals you don't usually see. They have a place where you can pet goats and miniature horses. It's definitely not a huge zoo but it's great.
  • Great little too. Very clean. The animals looked well cared for. Didn't see any prairie dogs.
  • It's quite small and limited, but the animals they have seem to be well cared for, which to me is a huge deal with zoos. We joined to support them. Hopefully they will expand into a larger and more inclusive facility.
