If you are visiting the Cape and are interested in History/Geography/Cool Stuff you have to stop by Maps of Antiquity! My wife and I stopped by simply because the name is so unusual and we had a blast looking at all of the awesome stuff they have (maps from all over the world, certainly not just the local area). The staff there is very friendly and we ended up purchasing a 1932 Original map of the Cape as a souvenir and they shipped it back to TX for us. We are having it framed and super excited about putting it up. We highly recommend Maps of Antiquity!
I purchased two 19th century maps from "Maps of Antiguity" via the internet and was very pleased with both the quality of my purchases and the service provided. The maps arrived promptly and were very well packaged. My interaction with the proprietors was courteous and professional. I will certainly consider "Maps" for future purchases.
Got a map for a friend's wedding present. It arrive on-time, nicely packaged, and was exactly what I was expecting.
This is an interesting place. If you have money and enjoye map collecting this is definitely the place you should visit.
I was like a kid in a toy shop!!! This place brought out the sense of adventure in me. The maps that I found were the treasures and I was a pirate seeking out the treasure. Thanks to the folks at Maps of Antiquity, I was able to find a beautiful map of the Philippines. These guys really know what they are doing and have many resources to draw from. Who would've known that we would find a map of the Philippines in a US Commerce Atlas. Well, apparently these folks did. I am now a proud owner of a few maps of antiquity. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone with an interest in maps and a sense of adventure.
