Windsurf, swim, or climb the lighthouse at Chatham Lighthouse Beach. The spacious beach provides a habitat for seals since this site on their migration route, and it s also a popular spot for boaters. The lighthouse is occasionally open during summer months for visitors, and there's a bike track nearby. There are no lifeguards here, so be cautious while swimming, although boat patrols monitor the beach. Currents can be strong because of the wind.   • Spectacular view we visit as often as we can and walk the beach. Great seal watching. I always hope to see a shark but no such luck. A must for every chatham visit.  more »
  • Parking is limited to a half hour -- that's unfortunate. The view is terrific, the beach is wide and sandy. Too bad dogs are not allowed in the off season.  more »
