Where to stay in Charlotte

To avoid driving or riding on public buses during your visit to Charlotte, book your room in or near the city center. You can find most of Charlotte's chain hotels in so-called "Uptown," the centrally located business district and hub of tourist action. Hotels near the airport provide good low-rate options for travelers on a limited budget. These spots offer rooms with access to major roads, allowing you to explore the region quickly and easily.

  • Nice but limited museum. Worth the trip. Combine it with a trip a another cultural event and make a day of it.
  • Very neat museum to learn the history of Wells Fargo! Make sure to grab your complimentary gift while you are there. Also visit all 12 museums to complete the collection!
  • It's a small, but very fun place. The history of a bank never seemed interesting before I went here.
  • The museum is very interactive, entertaining, and educational. It is a wonderful experience for all ages. Be warned if you get car sick the stage coach ride may get to you but that is the only down side. Parking near by.
  • Pretty educational and fun museum. Especially considering it is free.
