  • This brewery rocked my socks off! The beer was so good and it was a fun time! The bartenders really knew their stuff!
  • I love this place. The menu had just about everything. You could eat outside on picnic tables from the restaurants food trucks or go inside and enjoy a full menu. We had a range of ages from 13-80 and...  read more »
  • Large inside and outside areas with long picnic tables to sit and enjoy a flight with just snacks or a main German flair plate. Parking in rear -- if nice day definitely sit outside, inside a bit cool...  read more »
  • It was our first time here and overall was a great experience. Awesome outdoor patio with plenty of seating, indoor was pretty spacious and cozy. It was a Saturday night, so it was pretty packed. Surprisingly, very family friendly. They had a live Jazz Band playing which was a plus. Food, was decent...we tried the food truck which was outdoors (typical bar food-burgers and hot dogs), however if you wanted to order some food from the menu. They advised us it was only served indoors. We will definitely be back.
  • Olde Meck is one of my favorite Charlotte breweries. I always tend to drink Copper and Fat Boy, but the seasonals are just as good. It seems to draw a little bit of an older and family oriented crowd. Don't get me wrong, there are still a ton of young people around to socialize with. The outdoor area is where we spend most of our time, enjoying casual conversation or yoga on certain nights. Inside the taproom gets crazy when Germany plays in soccer... let me just say it is something you should experience if you're a German soccer fan. Speaking of the inside bar, be sure to stop in and see Johnathan, he'll make sure your glass is never empty! Excellent service, Charlotte's finest brewery.
  • What else can you ask for in a German Brewery. Tons of outdoor seating with fire pits. Great Beer, Perfect spot for fall drinking. The food is amazing. Large communal tables inside. This is kid friendly too!
  • My favorite brewery in Charlotte! Their beer is top quality, with their flagship beer being Copper, an altbier. The brewery atmosphere is unbeatable with a large open beirgarten and a spacious indoor bar. The seating is German style with long tables with benches so that you are forced to talk to the people next to you. You will commonly find families with kids of all ages and even seniors at OMB. This German brewery uses all German ingredients (minus the water), and German brewing equipment. OMB is the first and largest brewery in Charlotte. They used to be down the street where Sugar Creek Brewing Company now resides. Don't miss their pilsner, Captain Jack.
  • Food is solid. Ordered a brat and cabbage and the braised red cabbage is highly recommended, sweet and rich with a subtle hint of vinegar. Beer was outstanding. Our favorite was the Hornets Nest: unfiltered, slightly sweet, with bold notes of banana in the hops and a smooth finish. 4 stars only because service once we got a table was slow to start and rushed throughout. Worth the wait for the patient foodie, not a good in and out spot.
