  • A lot of clean, working exhibits at a science oriented museum. Was a LOT OF FUN. Went on a Friday. Parked close, had an easy walk.

  • This was my first time visiting Discovery Place since the renovation in 2010. The second floor design was modern and arranged to keep you immersed. The exhibits were well kept and entertaining, especially the Rubik's Cube exhibit. We took our 14 month old twins, and they loved the downstairs Aquarium, Explore More collections and Kids Zone. Even though they were a little young for the water tables and some of the Kids activities, there was still an area that suited them well. It was quite busy on a Saturday afternoon, but not too bad.
  • 1st floor was fun for a toddler, but I was very disappointed in the state of the aquariums - cyanobacteria over many sandbeds, valonia and other algae, and most of the blue hippo tangs (ie, Dory) had severe HLLE disease. Surely they can care for their animals better.
  • Worth your time and money!!! Compared to other children's museums in big cities, this one is very hands-on as opposed to just "seeing" exhibits. We saw the one in Indianapolis and this one is FAR superior! Plus, the location and city itself is so safe!!!! The price is higher but we've paid more at other less quality museums. Water play, blocks play, Imax movie, mini aquarium, animals of the rainforest, physics lab upstairs, live experiments--very interactive and hands-on!!! Cannot say enough..our third time visiting. Best thing to do with children in Charlotte!!
  • Went today with my 2 year old, 4 year old and wife. Had a blast! Tons to do for kids and the only reason we left was because our 4 year old was overly hungry and tired lol. Price was okay for the amount to do. Would go again if in town.
  • The place to be for kids with curious minds! More things to do then you can cover in one day so consider investing in the family passes. You save money and had more fun adventures to look forward to!
