  • We went when they had the Sully Sullenberg "Miracle on the Hudson" plane on display. Really great exhibit to see such a famous plane in person with lots of extra stuff added on. The museum itself is fairly small, in one smallish hangar at the airport. Can easily go through the whole place in an hour. Not sure if the $12 admission price is with it for the time it takes to see all they have to offer. Without the famous plane, it would've definitely been way too much. There is no ac, so on a hot day it's pretty hot inside in the museum. Overall, a fun excursion in Charlotte.
  • I must say that I am very disappointed in this museum for one reason. My wife and I drove over 78 miles . Just to come to the museum. We called to check about hours and prices. We got a recording .That gave us this info. When we arrived at the lobby at 1pm there was a sign affixed to the door stating they would be closing at 2pm .Not 4 pm like the website and their recording states. We went ahead inside and paid their full admission price. for basically 50 mins. Now the museum is smaller but they have an ok amount of aircraft on display. They also have a F4 Phanton cock pit you can sit in .They also have and older commercial air craft cockpit you can sit in. They only have one helicopter . So if your just looking for something to do and you in the Charlotte area. It is an ok place but don't go out of your way to get here. Just not worth the hassle when they can't post that they are closing early..
  • This place was awesome even though it is a smaller aviation museum. The staff is wonderful and willing to answer any questions as well as give backstory on the museum or on the planes. This museum also holds the Miracle on the Hudson plane which is amazing to see the condition that it is in and the actually miracle that Sully pulled off landing the plane on the Hudson.
  • This place is small with only around 15 planes. But, it's worth to visit it once. At most you need one hour if you are reading about each and every plane there. Staff are super nice.
  • My 2 year old boy loved it. Lots of fun and very nice tour guides
