Billy Graham Library, Charlotte
(4.6/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web)
Billy Graham Library charts the evangelical minister's rise to worldwide fame through interactive, multimedia exhibits and memorabilia. All of which is housed inside of a 3,720 sq m (40,000 sq ft) barn that served as Graham’s home for most of his youth. You can explore the reconstruction of the Graham family home, which includes many original elements. Take time to reflect in the memorial prayer garden and peruse Ruth’s Attic, a bookstore dedicated to Graham’s late wife. Milkshakes, ice cream and sandwiches are served in the nostalgic Dairy Bar cafe, styled to look like a barn reminiscent of Graham’s farm-based childhood. Use our Charlotte family vacation planner to visit Billy Graham Library on your trip to Charlotte, and learn what else travelers and our writers recommend seeing nearby.

  • Serene and inviting very welcoming would go back in a New York minute . Very humbling experience. You feel a soft presence there that is unexplainable
  • The power of Pastor Graham is revealed in this tour. His humbleness and that of his wife are evident throughout the tour. One does not have to be of one faith or of any faith for that matter to understand how Pastor Graham has impacted generations. Pictures of him with world leaders and other famous people (many of whom have left this world) attest to Pastor Grahams wisdom and love of all people. The tour is free. A nice gift shop and cafe are onsite as well.
  • Very inspirational to how God used one man to share his love with the world . A must see when in the area.
  • This is an amazing place where you can get inspiration and joy from what you learn from Mr. Grahams life. This journey of faith is wonderful! Staff is so welcoming! Will come back there again many and many times!
