Billy Graham Library, Charlotte

4.7
#1 of 85 in Things to do in Charlotte
Billy Graham Library charts the evangelical minister's rise to worldwide fame through interactive, multimedia exhibits and memorabilia. All of which is housed inside of a 3,720 sq m (40,000 sq ft) barn that served as Graham’s home for most of his youth. You can explore the reconstruction of the Graham family home, which includes many original elements. Take time to reflect in the memorial prayer garden and peruse Ruth’s Attic, a bookstore dedicated to Graham’s late wife. Milkshakes, ice cream and sandwiches are served in the nostalgic Dairy Bar cafe, styled to look like a barn reminiscent of Graham’s farm-based childhood. Absolutelly amazing experience and a great historical recoding of Billy's ministry. I loved seeing all the photos and seeing professionally done videos on his life. It was great seeing family photos and also finding out more about his wife Ruth and their 6 kids. No one leaves without hearing and seeing the gospel, but its not pushy instead so genuine and natural!

We love this place! You can easily spend your whole day here! Peaceful walking outside. It kind of blew me away all of the details put into the tour. Very neat place to visit and make SURE you do the WHOLE tour. Worth your time spent. It's also free (unless you want to make a purchase in the library or have lunch in the cafe). A great way to spend a day visiting Charlotte!

It was just wonderful. The best part was the leaving, walking through the Cross. You have to go to understand.

Very interesting, but they should have also represented some African ministers too in his ministry, Am I to assume that not much was impacted by his ministry over there or what?
