Billy Graham Library, Charlotte
Categories: Specialty Museums, Museums
Billy Graham Library charts the evangelical minister's rise to worldwide fame through interactive, multimedia exhibits and memorabilia. All of which is housed inside of a 3,720 sq m (40,000 sq ft) barn that served as Graham’s home for most of his youth. You can explore the reconstruction of the Graham family home, which includes many original elements. Take time to reflect in the memorial prayer garden and peruse Ruth’s Attic, a bookstore dedicated to Graham’s late wife. Milkshakes, ice cream and sandwiches are served in the nostalgic Dairy Bar cafe, styled to look like a barn reminiscent of Graham’s farm-based childhood. The power of Pastor Graham is revealed in this tour. His humbleness and that of his wife are evident throughout the tour. One does not have to be of one faith or of any faith for that matter to understand how Pastor Graham has impacted generations. Pictures of him with world leaders and other famous people (many of whom have left this world) attest to Pastor Grahams wisdom and love of all people. The tour is free. A nice gift shop and cafe are onsite as well.
I have to give this tops ratings customer service. The great experience I ever had the four times I've been there. They know how to give a memorable experience that you want to come back to the staff at just totally out of your way to make you happy and they keep it immaculately clean inside and out. Yes, really, even down to the shelves are dust free
The staff is so friendly and helpful. They really help to make your visit a wonderful experience. This place is not a monument to Billy Graham, rather it is a testament to how God used a man who was willing to obey Him. I am so glad I came here.
Awesome, lots of history on Billy Graham and family. They have tour guides that tell you of the different areas of the library, short films, you have a choice of praying with assistants after the tour, and they will show you a film at the end and give you a chance to accept Jesus as your lord and savior if this is something you feel compelled to do. HUGE bookstore, and snack restaurant, beautiful grounds surrounding the library, and The Graham home rebuilt on premises, final burying ground of Ruth Graham, Billy Grahams wife
The staff were all very friendly and the scenery beautiful. The story of how God used a humbled man to take the Gospel to the world, was so inspiring! I would encourage all Christians take the time to visit.
