Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte

4.4
Bank of America Stadium is a 75,419-seat football stadium located on 33acre in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. It is the home facility and headquarters of the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. The stadium opened in 1996 as Ericsson Stadium before Bank of America purchased the naming rights in 2004. In addition to the Panthers, the stadium hosts the annual Belk Bowl, which features teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and the Southeastern Conference (SEC), and was supposed to host the annual ACC Championship Game through at least 2019. The game was moved in 2016 but reinstated in 2017. The largest crowd to ever attend a football game at the stadium was on December 5, 2015 when 74,514 fans watched the Clemson Tigers defeat the North Carolina Tar Heels 45-37 in the 2015 ACC Championship Game. Former Panthers president Danny Morrison called it " classic American stadium" due to its bowl design and other features.

Arrive early on game day to get the best space for tailgating. Quick walk to stadium from anywhere near Morehead St. and at least an hour to make it inside before kickoff. Levels 1&2 are great for bes...  more »

Staff is very friendly. And the security lines are becoming much more efficient! A great variety of good food and drink, WITH places to enjoy it, although prices are high -- not surprisingly  more »

Very nice and modern stadium. I came here for the Belk Bowl and entering the stadium was very confusing. They had a massive line for just family of the teams. Could've done better with posting info or having it labeled on the ticket which gate to enter from. Also if it's very cold / windy at all, this stadium gets VERY cold! The wind easily gets in the stadium somehow. FYI if it's cold outside, it's going to be colder in the stadium. The wind was gusting in no problem even though we were in a bowl stadium.

Bank of America Stadium provides an electric atmosphere that even the fair-weather fan can love. Southern hospitality is always on display whether it be from the employees or even the fans. The recent upgrades to the upper level, and soon to be lower level were a great addition to a already great stadium. Concessions provide a variety of options, and you can't beat the JR Barbecue. Parking within the vicinity of the stadium can be pricy depending on the area, but if you are willing to walk, you can find a great price.

Had an amazing experience there. The good thing is security all over the place inside and outside. Outside on the day of the event, before and after the event they have food trucks and small restaurant and shops outside as well as street performers and bands performing!!

What an NFL stadium should be. Great experience. Never had a bad seat.
