  • I was very pleased at how the grounds were kept. The park is very large, so i imagine that its tough keeping up with the amount of land there is. I could tell that it had been mowed at least a couple ...  read more »
  • My favorite state park because it's close. I love getting out and just being around trees so this is a great place to go. The trails are awesome!
  • Rose Island was the thing that I learned about on our day hiking the park. The remote locations along the Ohio river had these hand crank audio players. They required a bit of work to play the long audio tracks, I provided plenty of encouragement to keep my wife cranking the devices. The park showed the historic flood levels of 1937 that helped wipe-out the early amusement park.
  • First time at the campground this past weekend. It was very quiet. Many of the campsites are not shaded, so if this is a requirement for you be sure to look at the pictures on Reserve America. Shower houses were large and very clean. There isn't a playground in the campground, but there are some in the park. If you like to hike or ride your bike, this is the campground/park for you. If you like to just sit by the fire and relax, this is a great campground for that. We will definitely be heading back to this campground/park.
  • The walking trails are beautiful. They have many flowers, ravines, and small cascading falls. I have been on them all. I have camped here many times with my husband and children. It is so peaceful
  • Great trails and fishing, well maintained and usually quiet and peaceful.
