  • I love this gallery. I try to visit once or twice a month just to see the art. I work at a hotel off of lockwood and recommend the Robert Lange studios to the guest. I go to RLS to see whats new and to get some inspiration for my art. I can't wait to see what comes out of the Robert Lange studios next.
  • All I can say is WOW! We were in downtown charleston for my daughter's graduation and happened to be walking past this gallery. My wife and daughter decided to take a look and I followed per usual. I confess I've never been excited for artsy things. Well, maybe I am now? This place bleew me away. And the staff were so NICE. Some of the paintings seemed like really nice photographs! We met the couple who owned the place and they made us feel right at home and welcome. We will definatley be going back to check out the new stuff next time we are in town!
  • On my most recent trip to Charleston we wandered into this gallery, and what a pleasant surprise. RLS is a vivid display of interesting, thought provoking art. Most of it is paintings, but they also had some photography and sculptures. Even the studio itself is a work of art with beautiful architecture, furniture, and a piano! If you're lucky you can even see Robert working in the studio like I did. He has a set up right in the middle of the studio. He is very knowledgeable and is happy to answer questions and explain both his methodology and inspiration. The works vary in price, but a majority were in the $2000-7000 range. The staff was friendly and not pushy -- the gallery is owned by Robert and his wife, and they are often on site. Even if you don't purchase anything they welcome visitors to wander around and enjoy the art. If you're an art lover, this gallery can't be missed.
  • As someone with an Art History and fine arts background I can honestly say this is my favorite gallery in town. While the Art Walks (the first Friday of every month) can get a little crowded it is still very much worth a visit. They're always coming up with creative ideas for shows and bringing in new different talent. In a town full of "Rainbow Rows" and "Sunsets" the Robert Lange gallery is a breath of fresh air!
  • This is a peerless gallery housed in a charming Charleston building. Robert Lange and his wife, Megan have created an inviting space to showcase a collection of artists whose talents are mesmerizing. The themed shows are whimsically clever yet thought provoking. Creativity abounds. The staff, especially Curry, could not be more welcoming. If there is one gallery not to miss in Charleston, this is it!
