  • Sharlotte was the best sales person ever! She was friendly and greeted us with a warm smile on a very rainy day. She explained the offers and specials to us and made us feel welcome. We don't typically write reviews, but she was exceptional. The pralines here are the best. Worth every penny!
  • Monday, May 29th around 6 pm, I walked into my "favorite" praline store with my visiting niece and nephew; as I do with all my visitors; to purchase come pralines to go. We were just in time to see the young lady who was cooking the pralines and inviting people to sample, reach down with gloved hand and put a piece in the mouth of a dog! Now, I like dogs, but I do not eat behind them. I immediately turned and told my guest that I will find another favorite place before they return. Has this been a common thing???
  • This place is awesome! Great novelty bin candy, fresh made pralines and other sweet treats. Great customer service and friendly smiles all around!!!
  • This is an awesome place! The only thing is my grandmother had to sit outside in the hot sun because she is handicap and was on a scooter. There is no ramp! Not fair to her but good sweets!
  • Expensive pralines but the best in Charleston for our family. We went twice during this trip because we love them so. Unfortunately on our second trip we saw the manager special was peanut brittle for 5.95 with purchase however we believe we got charged the regular price. We can't say for sure because we only got our credit card receipt which didn't show the itemized prices but those were some even more expensive pralines if we did. So my error is your warning. Make sure they give you the correct price and get an itemized receipt.

Where to stay in Charleston

Charleston is serviced by dozens of local hotels and practically every major U.S. chain. Expect to pay top dollar for a room on the downtown peninsula, particularly if you wish to stay in one of the historic hotels. The upside of taking a room there is the proximity of all major attractions--you won't need a car to explore and enjoy your visit. Less expensive options are available in North Charleston, West Ashley, and Mount Pleasant, where you'll find all kinds of inns for the budget-conscious traveler.
