  • I loved the treats and candy selection. We filled a ton lunch box with barrel candy for about $20 and also got some chocolate covered pretzels, which were amazing! However, the only thing that I could complain about would be the customer service skills the girls at the register lacked last night. We waited patiently for one of them to be finished with other customers but once it was our turn it just seemed like they hated their job and didn’t care. Rolled their eyes and we’re having a conversation together while I was telling her my order. Never smiled and didn’t make any eye contact. I expected more with all the reviews about friendly staff. The treats were delicious, on a positive note.
  • We came for the free pecan praline samples and stayed for all the treats made in the store. The chocolate covered Rice Krispie is massive and tastes as good as it looks. The peanut butter and chocolate fudge and rocky road fudge are both excellent as well.
  • Loved their lemon ice cream with nilla wafers mushed in🙂
  • Makes you feel like a kid in a... well you get the picture.
  • Candy candy candy! Tons of great choices. Sweets galore! You have to stop here. They have homemade fudge! Wife was a little disappointed because they don't have any gluten free fudge. The staff is really friendly though.

Where to stay in Charleston

Charleston is serviced by dozens of local hotels and practically every major U.S. chain. Expect to pay top dollar for a room on the downtown peninsula, particularly if you wish to stay in one of the historic hotels. The upside of taking a room there is the proximity of all major attractions--you won't need a car to explore and enjoy your visit. Less expensive options are available in North Charleston, West Ashley, and Mount Pleasant, where you'll find all kinds of inns for the budget-conscious traveler.
