  • Great experience, nice grounds, lots of history. We enjoyed self-guided toor and were able to see all the items pointed out in the brochure. There is $10 fee, cash only, which you deposit at the entrance. Obviously, the big house tour is not included in the tour, as the President's grandson family resides there, however there are tours by appointment.
  • Definitely not worth the effort or $10. It's a self guided tour which is fine except that most of what you're supposed to see is beyond no trespassing signs. The house and grounds are beautiful but we learned nothing, saw little and were gone in 5 minutes.
  • I loved this beautiful home of the Tenth president. We took the private tour and saw so many beautifully decorated rooms and heard wonderful history of the life of the family. Highly recommend it if you are a history buff.
  • A lovely estate. We enjoyed the self guided tour. The pamphlet was easy to follow and informative with lots of interesting stops and historical information along the way. Highly suggest stopping here!
  • We walked the grounds and really enjoyed the landscaping. I've read that there were 8 miles of walking trails that I was unable to find. In our attempt to locate this said trail we did however find a no trespassing sign and beware of dogs sign which made me scratch my head for 1/10 of a second as they started barking and gave chase to my fat but. In the end we're OK because we watch the "Dog Whisperer" and now it's just a funny story. But please do heed the trespassing signs and especially the beware of the dogs. Thanks for reading.
