  • Beautiful and we'll tended. Lovely walking trails and fun exhibits to enjoy along the way. There is a good cafeteria there also. The buyer in the gift shop has a great eye for unique and lovely gift items, most of them even at reasonable prices. I definitely recommend the Arboretum as a choice spot for tourists or anyone looking to spend several hours out of doors in a beautiful environment.
  • One of the best reasons to live in the Twin Cities, the arboretum is a gem. Can't boast of going in the winter, but every other season has something special to offer or to do. The gift shop is fun and the library is outstanding. Offers great experiences for the disgustingly fit, as well as we mere mortals, with disability access prevalent. The courses offered for reasonable fees are wide-ranging and I keep promising myself I will take advantage of one of their many photography courses.
  • The Arboretum is absolutely gorgeous! Definitely worth the price of admission. Well-maintained. My mind was blown at how large the whole thing is! This is no little garden. Trees, flowers, shrubs, sculpture gardens, paved and dirt walking trails, benches, a 3-mile drive where you can park your car to see different landscapes, buildings (I didn't have a chance to go inside), everything you can imagine. I love learning about the names of the different plants so I can put them in my own garden. Beautiful place! Must see!
  • What a gem in our state. I have loved here my entire life and never been. Now I cannot wait to go back. The Groupon admittance deal was great. We were there for 6 hours and still couldn't see everything. Will be back again for sure!
  • The staff is very helpful and friendly. The grounds are‚Äč beautiful and there are a variety of different plant type areas. You could easily spend a whole day here, but if you are short on time, I'd recommend the Japanese garden and the conservatory. There are six native orchid species around and if you time it right, you may get to see them in bloom. There is also an event space and a cafeteria. Parking seems to be ample, though no public transportation to the arboretum currently. Check the tours and events schedule when planning your visit. I went to a class on orchids taught by David Remucal PhD that was phenomenal.
