  • The staff is very helpful and friendly. The grounds are‚Äč beautiful and there are a variety of different plant type areas. You could easily spend a whole day here, but if you are short on time, I'd recommend the Japanese garden and the conservatory. There are six native orchid species around and if you time it right, you may get to see them in bloom. There is also an event space and a cafeteria. Parking seems to be ample, though no public transportation to the arboretum currently. Check the tours and events schedule when planning your visit. I went to a class on orchids taught by David Remucal PhD that was phenomenal.
  • Absolutely amazing. You could easily spend an entire day here. Grab a blanket and a picnic basket and walk anywhere on its massive grounds. Amazingly kept flowers, plants, trees and anything else nature offers. Great little cafe to eat at. One of the best possible places you could spend outside in MN.
  • This is one of the best arboretum's in the country. It is large -- over 1,200 acres of gardens, trails, and education buildings. There's a large sculpture garden as well. They are continuously expanding and improving it as well with seasonal indoor and outdoor art installations and events. It is a popular spot for photographers and weddings as well.
  • Amazing gardens. Different highlights every week. It is a bit pricey (15$ per adult) but you can easily spend an entire day here if you love gardens
  • There are so many beautiful things to see. One day does not even begin to do it justice. It is so, so pretty there. If I lived close, I would get a season pass!
