Great Wolf Lodge is perfect for 9-13 year old kids....old enough to do the rides on their own, young enough to think 3 different waterslides is enough entertainment for the whole day. I have taken my ... more »
This is a neat place for kids. It can be quit expensive, but if you plan ahead you can get good deals on the rooms and pack your food to save money. The kids will have a blast! more »
The facility is very nice. Our room was spacious, clean and had a "wolf den". This is a smaller sub-room with a bunk bed and a TV. The food was decent. There were the typical junk food options, but also healthier fare like salmon and salads. The water park is nice and never feels overly crowded. There is plenty to do without breaking the bank. If you do feel so inclined, there is an arcade and Magic Quest game for kids and mini golf.
Great first experience overall. Check in process was smooth and quick, and the room was clean and well kept. We had the cheapest room, which included 2 beds plus a pull out on the other side of a small pony wall. Perfect for putting the kids to sleep and giving us the ability to use our tablets and have a bit of light. We were at the very far end of a long halfway, so it was pretty quiet, guests at the other end probably would have to deal with a lot of noise as quiet time is not until 11. Elevators were limited and very slow. Overall value was better than expected, not a cheap trip, but everything we purchased exceeded expectations. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the pizzas were quite big and tasty. Gift shop items overpriced as expected, but the pup passes that we bought for our 2 young kids were great and the perfect souvenir for them. Loved the waterpark, something for everyone. Several different areas to choose from, all fun. The high temp in the park area was great, was sweating almost as soon as I walked in. Took a 2 and 4 year old and did every age appropriate activity that they offered. Everything was very well received. Staff were hit or miss, some were great, others clearly dead inside, with pretty much nothing in between. The overall experience was very good, will definitely be back, either every year or every second. They have a ton of stuff to do for kids of all ages, and this place is pretty much their paradise.
Great place to take the kids. It isn't cheap but there is enough to do there so the kids can have fun without leaving the resort. The water park is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. There is a buffet and restaurant on the property. The rooms were clean and updated. It is a really nice place to stay. Waterproof access is included in the lodging.
My family and I spent last night here and I have pros and cons of the stay: Note: we have four adults (two of which are pregnant) and four kids under five. Pros: -Staff is very friendly and kid attentive. -Room was clean and they provided a pack n' play when I forgot to bring mine -Beds were comfy and had lots of pillows. -It was very quiet at night, even though I'm sure there were thousands of children in the hotel itself. -Water park is fun and the number of lifeguards made us feel secure with our little ones Cons: -The room we stayed in, had a separate room attatched so the main area could have one family while we stayed in the other at night. It was great, however it had no window which made for a very dark night and a very dark morning. -It was very very crowded. No open tables, but I understand they can't control that. -When we booked the hotel we used my husband's debit card, however when we left he could not be with us. We were not aware that we needed THAT card, because I figured since I shared his last name on my ID and the same bank account it would be fine. Not! They said they would refund our money and just put it back on my card, since I was the one checking us all in. Sure, but they failed to mention it would take 5-10 business days for the money to be refunded! Essentially they charged us twice, that leaving us with way less money budgeted to spend while we were there. Had they given me another option or told me, I would have been less upset when I pulled up my online bank statement which said we were negative funds. That's the main reason why I give 3 stars. Ruined part of the trip! All in all, it was fun. But not something I would do annually.
Had fun with the family. Water park wasn't all that great, could of had more to offer considering that is the main attraction. Our kiddos ended up enjoying the magic quest game more than the water slides! Not on the cheap side, everything is going to cost you a lot of $$$. Overall a good time , don't know I would go back though.
