  • What an unexpected surprise! Bel Lago has some of the best wine that I have had in a long time. Patrick was an excellent server that introduced us to some of the best red wine that I have found. The P...  read more »

  • This was our first time visiting Bel Lago but definitely will not be our last. We visited on a Tuesday so was relatively quiet. The gentleman server seemed to be very well-informed about the grapes, a...  read more »
  • Great views from the winery, but the wines are the real appeal. On our winery tour of the Leelenau Peninsula, this was our favorite. The whites were the real strong point, but though the wines were good, our favorite part was interacting with the vintner. He shared some knowledge about wine and gave use tastes of some of the wine currently not ready for bottling to compare with the ones that were bottles. Great experience.
  • Pretty winery with good wines. Tasting room is small but it's free.
  • My husband and I visited Bel Lago Vineyards this past weekend. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, and he was very nice, but we were not impressed with the bartender with which we spoke. The wines were not our favorite, but that is, of course, our own subjective opinion. We think they could do a bit more with their wine tasting room; it seemed a bit bare and unwelcoming. I think this winery has a lot of potential, but they need to make sure their staff and wine tasting room are up to par.
  • This is one of my favorite wineries in the area! It's a little off the beaten wine trail, but it's worth the drive out! Their tasting is free and everyone at the counter is always super friendly and helpful.
