  • Lots of long trails for the more aggressive hiker but plenty for the short-run hikes too. Trails lead to the river so be aware that some of the trails might get washed out after a heavy rain. Cute fac...  read more »

  • We love going there to take our wonderful, nature hikes. They also have a fun summer program for children that our grandchildren loved going to.
  • Had a great time with the family. Very nice visitor's center with informational handouts, clean restrooms, and water fountains. Take advantage of the water bottle refill station inside and make sure you bring plenty of water for the kiddos! Heat related illness creeps up on them super fast. Many different hiking trails offer something for everyone and the scenic viewpoints are hard to beat, but watch out for snakes on the walking paths in the afternoon. All in in all, a worthy drive away from the bustle and noise of downtown!
  • An expansive trail system of over 18 miles which takes you through several different experiences. Visit the canyon floor and the springs there, the Colorado River, and feel the pine needles under your shoes. Well maintained and great signage. Plenty of opportunities at the learning center to discover more about the region and some trails are accessible by horse as well.
  • Wow, what a nice park for hiking. At least as enjoyable and beautiful as Bastrop State Park but McK Roughs seems to have more trails.
  • Loved hiking these trails! Absolutely Beautiful,.. Will be going back!
  • great place to go, they have awesome summer camps for children
