  • Had a great time with the family. Very nice visitor's center with informational handouts, clean restrooms, and water fountains. Take advantage of the water bottle refill station inside and make sure you bring plenty of water for the kiddos! Heat related illness creeps up on them super fast. Many different hiking trails offer something for everyone and the scenic viewpoints are hard to beat, but watch out for snakes on the walking paths in the afternoon. All in in all, a worthy drive away from the bustle and noise of downtown!
  • A free nature center! A park with huge space and yet open to the public. Trails are not all stroller friendly but lovely place to learn and explore nature. Worth the drive. It is the next entrance beyond Hyatt Lost Pines.
  • Wow! What a hidden gem. Great hiking trails with not a lot of people and a seeet nature center. I'm sure there more to this park I haven't yet discovered but excited to go back and see more.
  • Great place to hike along the Colorado River. Nice facilities. Plenty of parking. Areas to picnic. If hiking wear nice sturdy shoes. The trails are rocky and steep inclines in parts.
  • We chose McKinney Roughs for our wedding and reception, and we couldn't be more pleased!! The staff was extremely friendly, responsive, and accommodating. The park itself was beautiful beyond belief, and everything was so clean and well maintained, it felt like a resort! We have nothing but the highest praise for the staff who assisted us from the moment we arrived to review the park, to the evening we wrapped up the reception. I can't thank the team at McKinney Roughs enough for everything. It was just awesome!
