Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club, Cave Creek

Golf Course Outdoor Activity
Ingeniously designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones II, this championship course gently shifts between panoramic openness to the intimacy of lush foliage along Willow Wash. Mirroring the southwestern styling of the petroglyph-etched boulders that mark each hole, the adjoining Club House with Pro Shop and snack bar offer a casual but elegant retreat.

Unlike many of Arizona's "target" golf courses, Dove Valley Ranch is player friendly, with manicured transition areas that allow its guests to recover without penalty. RTJ Jr. also put a premium on strategy and variety, which translates into a challenging yet refreshing round of golf. Factor in service that is second to none, and no wonder this lush layout on the outskirts of Phoenix is so popular with locals and visitors alike.

  • Tough golf course with lots of challenges for most levels of players. The time of year play should be under 4 hours. Beautiful setting, fairways and greens are in good shape. One downside are the sand...  more »
  • Only had time for nine holes. Went out about 7am. Finished in 1-1/2 hours. Course was in great shape. Greens were very good. Starter was super friendly. Rate was good.  more »
  • $35 for 9 holes this morning was truly worth it. Nicely conditioned course and many greenskeepers at work as we played back nine early. They had a womens tournament starting on one at the same time bu...  more »

  • thought place was well run. Greens were very fast downhill good golf range into the wind. staff very attentive. Only problem we finished at 6:30 in March and they close up everything including bar by 7 pm. One drink and out. Would go back, but not close to anything really
  • The greens and fairways are in really good shape. The beverage cart ladies came by maybe 10 times during the round which we highly appreciated on this warm June morning.
  • The staff is very friendly and helpful but twice played and pace of play was very slow. First visit 5 hours, second 4:45. Conditions are strange. The grass looks like it's water starved yet your ball can get plugged in many areas due to super soggy spots. Nice folks but won't return.
  • Wonderful course but seemed difficult.....greens were fast but great layout
  • A fun track that is in good shape and reasonably priced for the area. Great golf course to take people visiting the area.
