  • Two Harbors is primarily a boater and camper destination, but it does have one small (eleven unit) lodge, plus a couple of vacation homes. For boaters in southern California, there is no better destin...  read more »

  • We spent a great night here in earlier June. The forecast was for low 60's, fog and light wind. Not great for sailing but we pressed on and came anyway. The place was empty, just the way we liked it. ...  read more »
  • Spectacular view of the harbor. Only 10 minutes away from the restaurants and shops but feels fairly secluded. $25 per campsite per person is rather steep though. Campsites have a file put with a grill, benched table with roof cover. Most campsite are not very leveled for tents. There are many portable toilets and fresh running water available. Meh shower too.
  • Nice spot in the low/shoulder seasons. Pretty crowded in the Summer. I really like staying here when no one else is. Good access to town and the extremely expensive amenities of TH. The moral of the story: BRING EVERYTHING you need for your stay and anticipate the 1/2 mile walk to the campground (thats right, 1/2 mile despite what the website says)! No frills (warm showers, flush toilets, etc.)
  • This was the other of my favorite campsites for the hike across the island. Looking out at the bay was really awesome. The only bummer part is it's quite the walk from town. But it isn't overwhelming if you get everything in one trip. Watch out for foxes and other critters...they will steal your food.
  • First time on the island, first time camping on the island, first time camping in a tent cabin. All in all, a fantastic experience. If you are lucky to get a cabin with a covered porch, you will love being drunk in the afternoon. For the unlucky ones, be sure to take a tarp to use for shade. Town is a short walk away for evening drinks, resupply, island activities and toilet services.
  • I'm a fan of remote and secluded campsites - this is not it. Dusty, but well equipped with fire rings, picnic benches, and shaded spaces.
