  • Nice stop to take a short walk to see the hatchery. Don't miss Herman the Sturgeon! You can take a self-guided tour. There are nice clean restrooms and a gift shop, so this makes a great rest stop on ...  more »
  • We arrived on a raining day and the only ones there. It was self guiding so we just walked around and enjoyed the beautiful landscaping. The hatchery had a nice video playing that explained everything...  more »
  • I have systematically avoided visiting this place each time we have been in the Gorge. I just thought it would not be anything I was interested in---and that it would smell all fishy. I was so wrong! ...  more »

  • The fresh air and the park was so beautiful. It was so nice to get away from the hustle of the city. I enjoyed feeding the fish and learning about sturgeons. I took several pictures and had a wonderful time exploring and teaching the kids.
  • Beautiful! Even if you are not a fisherman, this is a gem of a spot and you will love the beautiful site. There are ponds and gardens and little hidden quiet places to sit, so slow down and take some time. In one pond, which was in shade and ignored by every other visitor there, sturgeon of perhaps 3 feet in length lazed slowly along the bottom. A brief stop will still be enjoyable, but if possible plan on an hour or more to see it all.
  • Free area to walk around in, beautifully landscaped and very well kept. A cool fish viewing area where you can see under the pond.
  • What is better than free... learn something and appreciate sport fishing and fish release program... drive down to the dam and take a look at the fish ladder and count the fish run... all that fun for free... also the generator stuffs... free weekend fun with the kids
  • Pretty place for a stroll through wooded lawns. Neat outdoor tanks teeming with small fry and a sunken viewing window with some truly massive sturgeon.
