Cove Lake State Park is a state park in Campbell County, Tennessee, in the southeastern United States. The park consists of 673 acres (2.72 km2) situated around Cove Lake, an impoundment of Cove Creek created by the completion of Caryville Dam in 1936. The park's location is adjacent to the town of Caryville and just west of Jacksboro.

Cove Lake is an extension of the much larger Norris Reservoir, which extends across the lower 15 miles (24 km) of Cove Creek downstream from Caryville Dam. Cove Lake State Park was one of several state and local parks developed in the 1930s as part of the Norris Dam Project. The park includes a large campground, several small walking trails, and a wildlife observation area. A leg of the Cumberland Trail passes near the park's northern boundary, connecting the park to nearby mountaintops.

  • We were here for a 5k race. This is very peaceful beautiful place. Trees and trails wind near the lake. The many picnic areas look inviting.

  • For those considering an overnight stay on your way to your destination, or to take advantage of Cove State Park's beautiful Campground, get ready to experience some of Tennessee's best when it comes to nature and camping. I've been coming to Cove State Park campground since the mid 70s. Yes, 40 years ago, Cove State Park was part of my earliest childhood memories. And here I am, March, 2022, 40 years later, and this beautiful park brings back all the warm and fuzzy, sentimental feels when life seemed a lot happier and times were a bit easier. This campground has everything you need to enjoy a memorable camping trip. From the sheer beauty of the lake itself, to all the park's amenities. Enjoy the picturesque 606 acres of nature, to walking/bike trails, to wildlife, to fishing, to ore powered boats, and last but not least, the best (level) campsites equipped with grills, fire-pits for the best nighttime camp fires, to picnic tables, and just beautiful scenery. It even has swings and playgrounds for the little ones, and bathrooms equipped with hot showers. You can't go wrong here. It's just the perfect place to create memories and enjoy your camping experience. I can't say enough about this place. I'm so glad it's still here.
  • First we sat and ate. While eating we saw a great blue heron. We ended up seeing two, a male and a female. We walked down a trail and found the place teeming with life. A deer, a small turtle, a big snapper turtle, a snake, and many many birds. The smells were awesome and the trail had lots of shade. There is a lot more we didn't see and we hope to visit again. The scenes are beautiful and the park is very taken care of.
  • Cove lake is a beautiful place to either have a picnic or take in one of its many walking trails. It is also an amazing place for those who are out looking to do a little bird watching and wildlife photography. Not to mention the beautiful mountain backdrop that sets just beyond the lake. Had a great time photographing wildlife there and will definitely be back.
  • Rickard Ridge BBQ is absolutely delicious. The BBQ is really good and I definitely like the sauce. I always order the Macaroni & Cheese with BBQ on the side. It is delicious, the best Mac & Cheese I think I have ever had. G likes the loaded baked potato
  • This is the main attraction for us who live here. The only play area for our kids and us to have recreation as well. It's beautiful just needs a little more maintenance. I enjoy it though.
