  • Great vibe, this is where the locals hang out but it is very friendly. The beers are great, with flavors changing quite frequently. There are also beers to go. I am glad to see the bathrooms have been...  more »

  • Great selection of local beer and great service! I really enjoyed their King Tide (9%!). 5 stars for the staff, for a couple of reasons. 1. There was a clearly too drunk guy asking for more beer. They handled the situation amazingly. Truly. They stayed friendly, explained why they couldn’t serve him anymore in a very friendly way – almost as if they were talking to one of their friend – and even shook hands with him. They kept their cool and stayed very polite even though he was very insisting. 2. Even when they were close to closing and cleaning they didn’t throw us out or made us understand we weren’t welcome anymore like many other places do. They did everything they had to do for the cleaning and let us know we were welcome to finish our drinks at our own pace.
  • The island brew house is a pretty nice spot to sit down and have a beer and chat with the locals of carpinteria. When you walk in you can see the large brewing containers that are making the beer that you are drinking and it also doubles as their distribution center. It's really neat to talk with the people that are serving are sometimes the same people that are making the actual brew. The only thing is that sometimes you can feel a bit out if place if you aren't a regular.
  • Great beer and great service. People are very friendly and the place is kept up well. I was here on a hot sunny day and they served a great cold beer to quench the thirst.
  • Love this spot great beer great people. Just wished they would sell in So Cal...
  • It's like having a beer in a warehouse. There's also a kids playroom. Riiiiight. For parking, just park somewhere in the neighborhood and walk down the alley, or the railroad tracks. (Clearly, this wasn't planned out very well.) Oh, and if you're hungry there is a food truck parked outside. Not exactly what I was expecting. I think all of the 5 star reviews came from the drunk people or from the friends of the staff and owners.
