  • Love that we have this drive on beach! Happy that the town took control of the camping so that now everyone can have their own space!
  • If you like hanging out with huge crowds of drunk rednecks and college kids, this is the place to be. I am a local. We only go in the off season and love it. Great fishing and a fun place to let the d...  more »

  • Great place to bring the family and drive on the beach. It's a bit expensive for a day pass and the beach entrance can be a bit rough, but it's a fun time when it's not super crowded (most weekends in the summer).
  • Good for the novelty of being able to drive on the beach, and that's about it. Crowded, like a parking lot on the beach with cars literally side by side during summer weekends. Campsites are small and close together. Sites are dirty. At night crowds clear out but guess what? It gets much worse at night. This park allows alcohol so guess what. Noisy drunkards speeding up and down the beach hooting and hollering during quiet hours swerving right next to your campsite to "test the capability" of their off road rigs. We had one truck with 5 drunks blast their ethnic music not 50 ft from our campsite at midnight, quiet hours are 11pm on. They burnt a fire directly on the sand using toxic construction scraps. Regulations state you need an enclosed fire pit. We had to call the police, and when the police arrived, they only asked them to leave and promptly left themselves. Well needless to say the drunks did not put out their fire and turned the music back to full blast now at 1am. Had to call the police again and they didn't come back until 3am. I stayed up to make sure my family was safe while these idiots partied by taking off their clothes and dancing around the fire. When the police came back, not sure if they ticketed them or not but they finally left, leaving there fire pit and beer cans all over the beach. Not family friendly at all. I will never come back, even during the daytime. This place is a total dump and attracts the wrong crowd. Think spring break atmosphere.
  • This place was a 5 star plus some before the town took control and turned it into a pay a lot of money heavily policed tourist trap. 10 years ago and before it was quite literally a rare gem of few people where nobody bothered you and you could relax on a beautiful stretch of sand. It still has my favorite 4x4 only cove where the beach meets the ICW anywhere...but heavy policing due to heavy traffic took its toll on what was a really magical little kinda secret beach spot.
  • Surfs up dude! If you have a 4x4 vehicle you can drive out onto the beach, pitch a tent, and roast some s'mores over a camp fire. Plan ahead and follow the rules. Beach etiquette is essential!
  • Once was enough. The beach is beautiful and clean. It is very poorly managed. I saw several ladies with kids get stuck in the sand. The staff drove by numerous times and offered no kind of help and showed no concern in the least for their guests.
