  • If left over time, pay a visit. The site is well maintained, and gets pretty crowded on weekends, but it's quiet.

  • I came in to pray for my well being, I ask for guidance in my health. Thankfully I found a wonderful doctor and my surgery was a success. Now I have to go back and give my Thanks... I came in on a Sunday, an hour before gate was open for church, our entry charge was giving a donation, not sure if this is usually done. The place is very peaceful, a lot of history that takes you back into time,,, well i was brought up in a little town, this place is familiar to my up bringing, the simple way of living. For many who are not religious and live in the city, you will have a hard time understanding but appreciate and understand that you don't need much to have a life. For the ones who complain about the entry charge, your forgetting that a revenue is necessary for the church to maintain its doors open for many years to come.
  • This is such a beautiful place to visit. The history is very interesting. You can see how the place has such a special appeal to it even if you are not religious. The garden space is pretty and a nice photo op spot. The actual church itself is a good size and is very detailed in art and I liked that everything had its written history on it. It was not expensive for the tour and well worth it. The gift shop was nice. It is small but had a lot to offer. The architecture is interesting to note the differences between times, materials used and the small little details.
  • Cool place. Has a lot more things to see than you would expect. Really great place for kids young or old. Great picture spot too. Highly recommend to stop by. They have a gift shop too with some interesting items.
  • One of the most beautiful and well-maintained missions. My only complaint would be about the tour group/guide that was there at the same time. They regularly blocked the only walkways through particular areas, as if they were the only people there that day, the docent was *extremely* loud and told the tour group (and anyone within 100 feet) things that even I, a lowly hobbyist historian, knew to be untrue about California's history. Seemed like she was more concerned with selling her book than the mission, anyway.
  • I have been to most of the missions, and in particular to this mission many times. I love going here. I love taking friends and family to see a piece of California History. Every time I go, I see something different that I didn't see before. I get an idea of what the monks might have lived like, as well as the native populations.
