  • Carmel Mission is one of the most beautiful and most well kept missions in California. It is truly a landmark and a destination in and of itself. The gardens are gorgeous, the chapel awe inspiring and...  read more »
  • Beyond the knowledge gained about early California, the authentic simple life while being a guest at CARMEL VALLEY INN was absolutely an awesome investment of my time!
  • Enchanting old Mission with historic reliics and interesting museum. The museum has rooms as they were lived in 200+ years ago. Their museum gift shop is a treasure by itself..
  • Good place to stay if you have a pet. A bit far from the beach/town, but right on Highway 1 so easy to get to. Clean and comfortable room. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
  • Not surprising that this place can't get passed 3 stars. It would take very little to get there. It was extremely annoying that the lamp on the tv table had the outlet at its base while that lamp should have been on the bedside table. I should not have to get up and walk across the room to use my cell phone. Also for $200 a night breakfast should be included. There is NOWHERE to get breakfast nearby. They charge FIFTEEN DOLLARS for breakfast. How much does an egg cost? Really disappointing when I checked out of the Carmel Village Inn at half the price WITH breakfast and an outlet AT the bedside table! Then the biggest joke is "free appetizer" when you purchase an alcoholic drink during happy hour. There are no plates. The bar tender doles them out guardedly. They are the size of s teacup saucer. You only get one which is ridiculous because they put out hot entrees, salad, fruit, crackers, cheese and little slices of cake. How are you supposed to enjoy all that with one tiny plate? A joke! I was very annoyed at my stay here. It ruined that part of my vacation.
  • We had a very nice 2 night stay at Carmel Mission Inn. Customer service was awesome all the way to the maintenance man Pedro who took care of a small problem with our TV remote control. The Inn is very modern and nicely decorated. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Our bed was very comfortable. We were on a 9 day trip to California and Carmel Mission was our favorite hotel we stayed in. One of the features we really liked was the full buffet breakfast each morning. It was outstanding. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.
  • Stayed here as a last minute decision on a road trip and I am so happy we did. The price is right for this place! They have all the amenities you could ask for in an affordable hotel. The fitness center was even pretty good, coming from a personal trainer. Upon getting in late night we had a quick dinner at the restaurant/lounge on site. The food and wine list was fantastic and the service was wonderful. Even at the buffet breakfast in the morning the staff was so pleasant and just did an all around wonderful job. They totally set a great vibe for our day in Carmel. Highly recommended, will absolutely stay again when in the area!
  • I checked in yesterday. This is about the sixth time we have used this place in the past year or so. The young man who checked us in bordered on rude. This was the first time I have had this issue. I have been in business for the past 24 years and I know folks will just take their wallets elsewhere. I'll give CMI another chance. They need to keep quality control (hirings) at a premium. After all, maybe I misunderstood the kid.
