  • Stayed there for a concert. The place is new and clean but way too smokey. You really can't avoid the smoke smell even on the non-smoking floors. Great concert, loved the Eli Young Band but the casino...  more »

  • rooms are not the best but still had a good time. buffet is great could use more clean tables and faster service. otter creek area and the rest of the back area is great, deli has good service. i think in the pool area there shouldn't be smoking at all because of the kids and people who are allergic to cigarette smoke. smoking should be ok in some rooms, and the casino. there should be no smoking at all in the buffet. besides all of that i would defiantly go back and stay. i had a GREAT time there with friends and family. Staff is nice and understanding.
  • Rooms in the tower are good but avoid the old wing unless you are a smoker. Casino floor is nice with a good rotation of new slots. Other gaming is weak offering only blackjack poker and bingo. Despite its weaknesses it is still one of the best casinos within a 5 hour drive of duluth.
  • I could eat every meal at their buffet! If I lived nearby I probably would. The food is fresh, hot (or cold) and the selection is vast. Staff check on everything constantly, walking around the inside of circle-shaped buffets. And what a relief that no smoking is allowed in the restaurant. I'd give 5 stars if the casino were smoke free.
  • Black Bear is amazing, workers are always so friendly and helpful. We go there for bingo and to have supper at the buffet. Food is always delicious and fresh with a large variety to choose from. Servers are very polite and are on top of making sure your drink doesn't stay empty long and plates are cleared almost as soon as you're done with them. The bingo hall is also amazing, set up with smoking and non smoking sections. The workers in the hall are great, very quick to get to you if you need help or to check your bingo and bring you your winnings. I personally love Black Bear and plan on going back again.
  • Played at the casino had a great time. Ate at the buffet for dinner. Was pretty good, mashed potatoes were pretty dry and we had some kind of tri-colored cake that tasted like medicine and plastic. But everything else was great.
