  • What a beautiful site and what a remarkable man who used his influence for good. I had thought of him only as Poncho, Cisco's sidekick in the early 1950s. Well worth the short ride from DT Carlsbad...

  • Amazing stop! Worth the drive up from San Diego! My family and I love history, and all the employees and volunteers were lovely and knowledgeable! The short film in the Visitors Center was a nice surprise as well! Beautiful place to explore with lots of history.
  • It is an interesting and well maintained Historical Ranch in Carlsbad. 12 of us had an informative tour of this over 2500 acre park.It is free. It is open, weekend tours go on, but other times, give them a call. It is a great place to bring visitors. Leo Carrillo was a very interesting man. Many of you might remember "The Cisco Kid". He was the costar Pancho. He lived on this ranch for many years. I highly suggest a visit.
  • Peaceful historic ranch located just a tad west of San Marcos, south of Vista. Visited here for my first time attending friend’s wedding so the review is heavily tilted towards the set up of the wedding. Set up of the outdoor ceremony was wonderful and well organized and all of the staffs were very kind. The place had a lot of sign boards explaining the history of the ranch, animals & plants on the property etc. It’s a surprising find tucked away in Carlsbad residential area.
  • Enjoyed seeing the Peacocks and Pea hens walking around. Enjoyed seeing the barn and old adobe houses. Got to see some Pea hen eggs in a nest too.
  • Attended a wedding in late March at this location and can say that it is a terrific venue. Nice job by the caterers the landscape was lovely everything they did was spot on with the possible exception of the footing in the common areas some. Some of the steps and walkways were a little bit uneven which would be expected in a venue this old but where there were so many older people stumbling around it was a little bit scary all in all I would recommend it for anyone seeking an outdoor menu in South county or Northern or San Diego county
