  • Interesting place to check out! Great for kids that are mature and interested in crystals/gemstones.

  • The school itself is interesting but the curriculum severely outdated despite attempts to modernize. Poor leadership, I’d say from experience. Some teachers are excellent but others and most of the administrators have a major attitude problem and superiority complex. I’ve also had stones graded here that I believe were altered in their reporting to accommodate the diamond dealer who sent them in. I think maybe it’s not as squeaky clean as they’d like to admit and seems most of the graders are underpaid and overworked so I wouldn’t be surprised if they were making side deals.
  • Very professional, and an extremely secure place. Beautiful facility
  • Closed to the public now. Didn’t see that information on websites
  • Great staff and security. Their display of various gems is educational and amazing. This is a bucket list place if you know or care to know anything about precious and semi precious stones.
  • Rocks have never been so fascinating! What an awesome place to tour. Carlsbad has a lot of hidden "gems" (sorry for the pun!) and this is one you may not have visited, but should.
