Carlsbad Flower Fields, Carlsbad

(3.8/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Stimulate your senses of smell and sight by taking in the colorful and fragrant display of the expansive Carlsbad Flower Fields. Hop aboard an antique tractor wagon ride through the 20 hectares (50 acres) of flower fields overlooking the Pacific Ocean and listen to audio commentary on the history of the fields. Afterward, tour the artist gardens to see how flowers can be used as art. The site also includes a 140 sq m (1,500 square ft) greenhouse filled with poinsettia flowers, a cymbidium orchid greenhouse, and rose gardens. Younger children can navigate the sweet-pea maze, explore Santa's playground, or mine for polished gemstones. If you're interested in sustainable agricultural practices, check out the waterwise farming showcase on water awareness and the organic demonstration garden on edible and ornamental plants. Put Carlsbad Flower Fields and other Carlsbad attractions into our Carlsbad holiday planner, and watch your holiday take shape.
