This has been definitely my favourite hike in Capitol Reef. I have a genuine fear of heights (especially near cliffs) and this trail was really fine for me and yet a little more interesting than only ... more »

Parádní trail tak akorát dlouhý a tak akorát narocny. Nadherne výhledy na skalni masivy a stěny, plus cílem samozrejme obrovský kamenný oblouk. Super more »
Great trail long enough and narocny enough. Amazing views of the mountains and walls, skalni plus the aim of course huge stone arch. SuperView original -
Great trail for families. We had a group of six (4 adults and 2 kids age 5 and 2). We all loved the hike. Plan on 2-3 hours if your group is similar to ours more »

Its great place to hike. The hike involves climbing uphill with steps. Remember to take water bottles and sunscreen, it can be very hot. On the way check out the interesting rock formations that look like caves also on reaching the bridge, next to hand print spot, there is an awesome echo effect, try stomping your boots!

Pretty! Steep, switchback type hike - mostly over rock / some sandy parts. Pretty short hike, but some elevation! You can walk under "bridge" and behind before you circle back. The entire area is beautiful - all the red rock canyon walls are incredible!
-
Nice hike. Quite easy and very less crowded. Pretty view from the top.
-
Easy and beautiful, what else can you ask for?! We took for kids on this hike and It didn’t take long and the kids were entertained climbing on the rocks.

Hickman Bridge is a 1 mile round trip hike with mild elevation change and mild incline. There are some switchbacks early on and 6-8 inch steps early on as well. Once you get past those though, it's smooth sailing from there. It's def worth the reward to see this massive natural bridge/arch. Make sure you bring plenty of water and sunblock because there is no shade on the trail until you get to the destination itself.
