  • We enjoy the Maine lighthouses. Lots of history. Beautiful scenery. Would encourage all to see. Worth your time.
  • We rented kayaks and paddled out to the island. The lighthouse keepers were great hosts and let us tour the island the lighthouse.
  • It's an automated light. Been automated for as long back as into the 70s... I believe back in the early 1900s there was a light house keeper part time but could get stuck there for long periods of time in winter months because of inclement weather and the danger of getting to and from ran island ledge safely.
  • Never seen it before. It looks in good condition I wonder if someone still stays there or not or if it is automatic now?.
