Where to stay in Cape May

Choosing where to stay on Cape May remains simple because most accommodations lie steps from Beach Avenue (which, as its name suggests, runs along the cape's stretch of sand). Even choosing your style of accommodation is uncomplicated--inns and bed and breakfasts situated inside Victorian houses encompass nearly the entire range of choices. You can opt for a cottage if you prefer self-service. Budget-wise you'll find the most options in the mid-range and higher end, but a few value-driven choices exist too. Book early if you plan to visit in summer.

  • Bought fudge. Walked next door to buy raffle ticket from Our Lady Star of the Sea. Booth closed with a sign to purchase tix at the Fudge Kitchen. Walk right back to candy store while opening fudge. YU...  more »
  • Whatever you get here is to die for. The fudge, the chocolate, the salt water taffy. Everything is just so fantastic to eat. There is something for everyone here. Guarantee you wont' go home with just...  more »
  • I always love going into the fudge kitchen when I come down to Cape May. My husband has a "frequent buyer" card I think that gets him coupons. They are a bit pricey but the fudge is really good!  more »

  • I've been coming down to CM for 20 years and every time I enter this place they ALWAYS go over (on how much you ask for) take notice. Must be a management or owner thing to get the most out $$$ out of the customer. NOT COOL AT ALL
  • Same kind of place they have all over. Fudge is pretty good but so is every other place. Kinda pushy
  • Average fudge shop using the same mix that every single other fudge shop uses and sells the same preboxed saltwater taffy and has the same "I don't need you" attitude. Did catch a Koffing in here though.
  • I found the experience much like visiting a used car salesman. Shop was empty, employee was very aggressive and said, "WHAT CAN I GET YOU?". We hadn't even made it through the front door... There are plenty of other places to buy fudge within walking distance.
  • Once I walked in, I understood why this fudge store receives such great reviews. They have over 20 kinds of fudge. They also don't require you to buy fudge by the pound as other fudge stores do. I was able to buy 10 small pieces of fudge for less than $12. They can also ship your fudge.
