Winery / Vineyard Food & Drink
Cultivating award-winning wines, Cape May Winery is a favorite in New Jersey. A tour of the estate includes a Vines to Wines tour, a fruit-and-cheese plate, wine tasting, and a complimentary wine glass. Tours require an advance reservation, but wine lovers looking for a quick stop can enjoy a tasting for a small fee anytime during the day. Pair a glass of the well-received Chardonnay, aged in French oak barrels, with a walk through the landscaped property. Where to stay in Cape May

Choosing where to stay on Cape May remains simple because most accommodations lie steps from Beach Avenue (which, as its name suggests, runs along the cape's stretch of sand). Even choosing your style of accommodation is uncomplicated--inns and bed and breakfasts situated inside Victorian houses encompass nearly the entire range of choices. You can opt for a cottage if you prefer self-service. Budget-wise you'll find the most options in the mid-range and higher end, but a few value-driven choices exist too. Book early if you plan to visit in summer.

  • Relaxing atmosphere with great scenery when the summer blooms. The wines are pretty good and you have the option to bring your own food or buy tapas when you arrive. Love the port wines they have.
  • The tour was both enjoyable and informative. The tour guides and staff were most hospitable and engaging... And the wines! Outstanding! I'll be visiting again this year. The wines are sold exclusively from the winery.
  • Called around 11 for a reservation. They told us to call back closer to the time we want to come. We called back and now they are booked. Really?? Going to Hawk Haven they thanks you for your business. Don't expect business from all 11 of our group ever again. Happy birthday to my wife.
  • Atmosphere is great and it is beautiful but the wine is swill. If you like sweet wine this could be good for you. I don't understand how a place with so much money doesn't make better wine.
  • Come out and support the local wineries you will be pleasantly surprised by the high quality of wine and food to sample
