  • I have been coming to Cape May 1-3 times a year for years now, and even though we often visited this location (for access to the Nature Walk) I never got around to climbing the stairs to the top of th...  read more »
  • Hey, it's a great workout for those thighs and gluts, and the spiral stairway cuts way down on the effort. Four of our five senior citizen ladies climbed with no problem (the other is too fearful of h...  read more »
  • This lighthouse is a NJ icon. Worth the trip for lighthouse lovers. If you can make it to the top its a great view. Must see in Cape May.
  • My whole family had a wonderful time. The view from the top of the lighthouse is incredible. I had been here once before about 25 years ago with my parents, and now my kids got to experience it and had a great time. They have a very rare wild caught white black rat snake in the museum near the large parking lot which is worth checking out. This is not an albino, with red eye and are more common. The body of this snake is white, but the eyes are normal color. The staff at the park is super friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend everyone check it out!
  • My wife and I, as well as my daughter really enjoyed this. I have to be honest though... Don't trick yourself into thinking you have what it takes to climb those steps with bad knees and being overweight.... You're not 17 anymore. And carrying a 35 lb child up and down? You could really hurt yourself!! ... That's the advice I would have given myself. The view was amazing from up top and the guide was very nice and knowledgeable. The surrounding park is gorgeous and it makes for a good visit while in Cape May
  • There are a lot of steps to the top (surprise!), and you end up with a great view. The beach outside was wide, nice and quiet, but you can't go in far because of the WWII debris. Was a nice way to start the day.
  • Awesome place. The views at the top of the lighthouse are worth the $8 per adult and the short climb upstairs. Be careful there, it's extremely windy at the top so hold your stuff! The trails around are a delight and have a lot of birds, and the beach here is beautiful, good for seabirds watching. Just a great experience
  • I've been visiting Cape May and the lighthouse for my entire life. We've lived here for over 20 years now and there is no better area on the Jersey Shore. The lighthouse is amazing at night, the trails are gorgeous, and the army bunker is really cool. It's also a birders paradise, but don't expect much swimming, as it's a nature park. If you're looking for a quiet, beautiful time, head over to the lighthouse for a while!
