We went on the casino cruise for the NYE party and from the start it was awesome. We booked our hotel and made reservations with the casino for their bus to transport us to and from the hotel which is... more »
The experience itself? Outstanding! However, I feel staff lack in hospitality and knowledge. First, the woman booking reservations failed to inform us there would be no buffet the night we were going-- which we paid for. Instead, we got vouchers for a meal from the bar. While the food was delicious, we ended up having to buy two additional meals to fill up-- portions are insanely small. However, the waitress was the one member of staff that seemed friendly-- her name escapes me, but she was fantastic, prompt, and knowledgeable of the menu. This was my first time in any sort of casino, and things are not self explanatory as far as the loyalty/player's cards go. Shortly after getting far enough out, we were offered drinks-- when asked what they had, the woman's reply was "beer, wine, or cocktails"... yes, thank you for that... WHAT KIND OF BEER?! What kind of anything? Hello? Near the end of the night, a blackjack machine popped open on my husband and froze-- I informed someone "in the cage" who then went over the talkie to tell someone there was a "scared girl" who wanted her game unfrozen. No, I just need my $50 out of the machine... thanks. 20 minutes later, and an additional trip to the counter, we finally got it. The facility was clean and exciting-- for the cheap amount I paid for the Groupon, I'd go again, but definitely wouldn't suggest paying full price.
The only thing good about the cruise was that it was free. Staff not very friendly or helpful. We didn't do the buffet. Too expensive and unappealing. The bar we ate in was not staffed properly. I ordered a fish sandwich and it was like eating beef jerky. Kudos to the poker dealer Brad. He was entertaining and helpful to new players. He was the only staff member who actually spoke to those of us on the cruise and had a great personality. The whole experience was very disappointing.
I got a great deal on Groupon so my boyfriend and I went for a nice afternoon cruise. We've never done something like this before so we had no idea what to expect. You have to get to the tables FAST! They were packed the moment we got there and nobody left. The slots had decent pay outs. I actually walked away with winnings so that was awesome! The food provided in the buffet was just okay and if you're not gambling there isn't much to do..
Money well spent and you gain a chance to win money. The a la carte menu is your best bet.... because the buffet is way overpriced and you don't get to touch the food. The workers serve you and in order to get seconds, you have to ask your server and they go get it. That's not right for over $20 per person. The guy on the upper deck who is the musician is AWESOME!!! Overall, its a Great day spent out on the water.
The staff literally does not care about anything at all. From my experience, it seems to me that the communication between the staff was non existent and the security is literally the worst.. The "Head of Security" would not even look me in the eye while denying entry to me and my guests because they were already in the water.... When in reality they were not even shipped out yet.. They did nothing to help, they ignored me for 10 minutes and then I asked them if there is anything else that anyone can do and they simply said no and walked away to go talk to each other.. Wow the customer service was absolutely horrible.. I would never go on anything Victory related. Smh... (I also had 6 other guests on the ship waiting for me AND they said they spoke with the staff about my arrival and they said it was okay and that they would "extend" the shipping time.. So much for the extension... And if you read this "HEAD OF SECURITY", Thanks for the great new years experience.. you did an amazing job! (******)
