Jetty Park, Cape Canaveral

(4.1/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Spend time at the beach as part of this 14 hectare (35 acre) site called Jetty Park. Walk the beach or the long jetty to see local fisherman, manatee, and crabs going about their days, or sit out and watch the beach from the observation porch. Kids will appreciate the playground, and most visitors like watching cruise ships and submarines coming and going from their voyages. You can go kayaking, where you can sometimes spot dolphins, or head out with a small boat. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent. You'll find picnic tables and grills here, as well as a full campground if you want to spend the night. A per-vehicle entrance fee applies; additional fees are required to camp. • We took the family to watch the cruise ships leave port. This is the first time I have done this as we showed up a couple days before our cruise left and had time. It was great fun to sit on bank and ...  more »
  • A very pretty beach that is good for families. There are accessible bathrooms and a good amount of parking. There is jetty that you can use to walk out and watch fisherman catch fish.
  • Beautiful beaches and great fishing pier. Beaches have life guards and the pier has a bait shop and store for most of your needs. There is a snack bar and clean bathrooms with showers. Everything you ...  more »

  • Probably one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to! This place had perfect soft light sand, showers, restrooms, ample parking and felt like only a few people were there despite it being quite busy, on a Saturday! You were able to walk out far, even during high tide and the water never got too rough. This beach was heaven! Makes me want to live there! Watching the cruise ships come in and out was really cool too. Highly recommended for families!
  • Beautiful and affordable, Jetty park is a park within Port Canaveral that is located on the south side of the port at the Atlantic Ocean. Jetty Park has cabins, RV camp sites, day use areas and a dedicated fishing pier where permits are not required. While the park can be over crowded on holidays, most days JP has plenty of room for family and friends to find their own space. The park is staffed every day, and patrolled by the Brevard County Sheriff's Office and Seaport Security for safety. Finally, remember your sunscreen. The cool breeze is wonderful but won't protect you from the sun.
  • This is a great place to camp. Trent campers have very private coves, rv sites you need to be careful of. We had a nice big spot, but it was on the busy corner. Many are right in front of the office, and its loud and crowded. It's slightly pet friendly, although you can't take them on the trails, in the park area or beach. It had wonderful play areas and picnic areas. You can watch the cruise ships come in and out of the canal day and night, and the Disney ships play songs with their horns. It's located on the beach so its a short walk to the ocean and a nice beach. We saw a launch from Cape Canaveral and it was remarkable. Great place to experience that!
  • We are working a festival near Gainesville, had the week free- called yesterday to see about reservations. Had misgivings when I got voicemail, but witjin a few hours I had a call back. The lady I spoke with was friendly and set up the reservation. We tried but couldn't make it by the time the office closed at 7pm, had to get a hotel- but today when we arrived Donna straightened things out, selected a girgeous site for us. The beach is beautiful, showers are clean and hot water is pleasantly hot. Laundry was a blessing to have here so we could rest and enjoy spotting birds, lizards and walking the beach. Attentive staff, there is good reason you have to rsvp well in advance to get a spot here in the tourist season!! Gorgeous here!
  • Was great until suddenly turned thier back on port employees, have to pay now just to go to fish lips, management and one employee gave me the run arround, response time is horrible. When i had inquired about camping or pavilion rentals (which i would pay for) they handed me a piece of paper and explained nothing. Gave them an honest shot. I will not be holding gatherings here.
