  • The Mesa arch is although even at noon, because you can see national parks through it on the rock pinnacles of the Canyonlands. He is the most impressive but at sunrise as the Sun sends its first rays under the arch and the underside shines quietschen really red - a fascinating spectacle! It takes only a few minutes, then the intensity of the radiation subsides, so you have to be already there before really! just in case we had head lamps, but it is enough already bright just before sunrise. It goes about 50 minutes (60 km) of Moab, and runs then continue for around 500m or 10 minutes on a well marked trail. No surprise that since some people are that have already built your tripod! If they want to have the best place, they have to get up very early!

  • For a small and easy trail from the parking lot, there comes this bow on the edge of the Canyon. Is one of the few stone arches of the Canyonlands. The place is always full of people even more at dusk. The view is beautiful. There is a bathroom in the parking lot.

  • Mesa Arch requires a short, easy hike that affords a vista that is hard to beat. Perched on the edge of a deep canyon, you not only get to enjoy the arch, but it frames a spectacular vista of the cany...  more »

  • Great place to see. Very nice view. As said in the park, bring water with you (best if you put it in ice - or with ice). I believe the best moments to visit is during the morning or evening (sunrise/sunset for top views) as the temperature is lower.
  • An Arch in Canyonlands This is a relatively short hike to an arch that overlooks a cliff. The arch is not particularly big and if you've seen the arches in Arches National Park nearby, you've seen a arch like this. The hike is nice enough so if you have time, by all means do it. However, if you miss it, it's not that big of a deal.
  • One of the few arches you can walk on... at your own risk
  • Not very big, but really pretty. The drop right below it is quite extreme and a few people that were wandering around seemed pretty worried about it. Really cool place to be.
  • Want to have fun in MOAB? Come here in the morning and watch photographers going ape-s#$t for a best spot to take a photo of this Iconic arch that became a household name
