  • To view the best of the Mesa Arch, you definitely need to be there during the sun raise time (Sun raise time + 1 hour). If you are a photographer, you should be there at least 1 hour before sun raise....  more »

  • If you go to Canyonlands Island in the Sky and only have one stop, make this it. It is a photographers dream, perhaps too much so. Go at sunset and there will be tonnes of photographers and their tripods hoping to get that perfect shot. But don't let that stray you, there is a reason they are there. It is well worth the visit, stunning arch in a beautiful park!
  • I would rate this arch at 5 stars if it wasn't so crowded. Be aware that the easier the hike, the more likely you'll be surrounded by other tourists. We went at sunset, but the arch will be better to view at sunrise due to the direction it faces.
  • The most beautiful arch in America. It is amazing in the evening, and slightly less crowded. Easy hike. Make sure kids stay close to you, there is a drop off by the arch.
  • Lots of people but an amazing view. The number of people reduces the rating. Good stop bothering plenty of more peaceful options in the park.
  • This place is beautiful, i completely agree with Moab Pathfinder, there are photography groups / tours who get there super early and get the best spots for sunrise and just hog the spots. It would be nice if they had consideration for other people and got just a few shots and then moved so other people can get at least one picture, but hey, thats just me :).
