4.4/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web
The tasting room at The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey is in an Arts and Craftsmen cottage that was built by P. H. Troutman of Denver, Colorado, in 1911. The sweeping arches and post and beam structure are fabulous examples of this architecture. The winery produces 14 wines, 10 of which are complimentary to taste. Linens from Provence, pottery from Spain, Tunisia, Portugal and France, and a vast array of food, wine and travel books are just a sampling of the beautiful items sold in the tasting room.

  • We were there on an unusually cold day and had to sit outside freezing with the VIP tour which cost us 25$ each not nice. Our hostess finally let us drink the wine by the fireplace- very sad ! Good in...  read more »
  • Very nice wine. Probably bought enough for the next 2 years. Great place to visit. Will visit again.
  • The Abbey is always having events going on there. The wine is awesome. Staff is great. Wine tasting and purchase option of wine. Cute little store in the tasting room.
  • I love going here because all of their wines are really tasty. My favorites Sangre De Cristo, Cabernet Franc, The Harvest which sells out quuck ans Apple Blossom especially paired with their homemade Caramel. The young man and women are really nice. The drive from the Springs is only about 30 minutes and is very scenic. To top it off they offer 10% discount for active duty military.
  • As a real estate agent I need closing gifts or gifts for other occasions. The Abbey Wine makes not only a welcomed gift that people enjoy but a gift that reflects the local area. And the winery has so many nice things, like books around the Royal Gorge area. Make a nice place to visit. And you'll love the harvest festival in the late summer.
  • Peaceful place just off Hwy 50. Some grapes come from the Palisades area but others are from CA and WA. Prices as of this writing around around $20-$30 generally. Worth a visit if you're in the Cañon City area.
  • Very big place, the land and buildings look great. Was an awesome place for vendors for a social.
  • Such a great little Winery! Love their Reserve Merlot!
