Tolovana Beach State Recreation Site, Cannon Beach

If you are looking for a great beach to hang out on and walk to Haystack Rock, this is the perfect place. The beach is big and covered in clean, white sand. Even on a beautiful, sunny and warm Sunday afternoon with the parking lot full the beach does not feel crowded. We found a parking spot pretty quickly as there are a lot of people coming and going. The walk to the beach is down a short flight of stairs, maybe 15 steps. There is also a wheelchair ramp so you can wheel a wagon or stroller right down to the beach. The restrooms are very close to the beach and are clean and well maintained. Haystack Rock is only about 1 mile north of the park if you walk along the beach.

Awesome spot to chill and enjoy the sunset and sunrise 🌄 As of July 2022, I saw a brown (domesticated) rabbit lingering near the bathrooms. The furry fellow seemed friendly and not threatened by humans. Perhaps it could use a good home 🏡 🐰

I enjoyed walking on the beach with my son and dauhter-in-law. She walked in shallow water to see starfish. I was thrilled to see the beach because a scene from the movie Goonies was filmed at this beach. It was cool to me being from Texas so we were able to light a fire. It was very nice. We also had lunch at Mo's a nice seaside restaurant.

Tolvana Beach State Park is a beautiful park in Cannon Beach. Haystack Rock is there and Puffins are on Haystack rock during summer months. There are several nice restaurants in the area too.

Fresh clean air, grounds clean, bathroom was being cleaned inside trash barrels removed full for new ones when there.Nice new steps to the beach since last there.lots of green grass to sit out on, Mo's resturaunt across the way always good food, can look out to see the ocean, buy gifts, just a stop I do everytime outside of Cannon beach town.
