  • Nice walks (we didn't do any long hikes) and beauties. Lots of lovely photo ops, waterfalls, moss covered pines, driftwood on the beach. Nice stop along the Oregon Pacific coast highway  more »
  • Definitely one of the highlights of our trip! We did the Short Sands hike from the main parking lot ... it was a fairly easy 1/2 mile through dense forest along the short sands creek with a wide...  more »
  • As a group of hikers in our upper 60's, we found Cape Falcon a true gem. The trail is well maintained, and you hike mostly in the shade of wonderful pine trees. The trail does have many large roots...  more »
  • Amazing beach! Both the dog and our toddler enjoyed the time here. It was a little chill so we didn't go into the water (the dog did), dogs can be off leash! We were there early and found parking, but it was full by the time we came back to the car (weekend in August)
  • Love this park along the coast. We took the short hike from the parking lot to the beach. This scenic and easy hike leads down to a smallish bay with excellent views of rolling waves. There are benches, picnic tables, and bbq/fire pits overlooking the beach. Lots of surfers frequent this spot, which adds to the fun of wave watching. Busy, but still a peaceful spot.
  • Great park, especially short sands beach. Pretty good parking availability, but it may be hard to find a spot on busy days. A short walk through the woods to the beach, very nice place for surfers of all skill level. There are restroom facilities at either end of the trail.
  • Cape Falcon hike through old forest, a waterfall, and meadows at the end with a beautiful lookout point on to the ocean. Roots and some elevation change but doable and worth all the beauty! Very magical in there!
  • Beautiful views. The old growth forest is an easy walk to the ocean. The greenery and small river are your companions from your parking spot through the cool northwest rainforest to the sandy beach. The waterfall is spectacular when full flowing. Clouds broke around 3 pm and it felt like anywhere in California, but Oregon seems rather special.
